Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative (CHEC) has reported a downed power line near the Avon Pier that will require the company to take the south Avon circuit out of power around 1 p.m, Friday, May 13th. South Avon will experience a power outage while crews make the repair.
CHEC will provide updates as they have more information.
