Sheila Treadwell Cooper, 56, of South Mills, died at her residence Monday, September 27, 2021.
She was born November 6, 1964 in Pomona, CA to Mildred Faye Singleton and the late Douglas E. Treadwell. Sheila was loving wife and mother.
She was a genealogy enthusiast and loved watching old TV shows, such as The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. She always wanted to go to Paris France, but never had the opportunity, but she brought Paris to our home with all of the decorations and wall hangings of the Eiffel Tower. She loved collecting unique items for her room she called her Cracker Barrel room.
In addition to her mother, Sheila is survived by her husband Daniel Guy Cooper; son, Cordero Cooper and wife Erin of Elizabeth City; sister, Jessica Garwell; four brothers, Tony Treadwell, Charlie Treadwell, Julius Treadwell and Conner Treadwell. She is predeceased by a sister, Debbie Treadwell; and a brother, Christopher Treadwell.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Suffolk, VA with the Rev. Darryl Stallings officiating. A visitation will be held at Twiford Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
