Multiple intersections in Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills will be closed to traffic this week as offseason construction projects continue.

The intersection of Barnes Street and Wrightsville Avenue in Nags Head is closed today and Wednesday as crews continue installing new water lines in the mile post 11 area.

In Old Nags Head Cove, replacement of the existing W. Danube St. drainage infrastructure began earlier this week. The temporary road closure which was employed along W. Old Cove Rd. last week has been removed and is open to vehicular traffic.

A temporary gravel surface has been placed in the area of the asphalt roadway cut. We ask that motorists exercise caution when driving between W. Old Cove Rd. and W. Danube St.

East Dean Street at the east side of its intersection with Wrightsville Boulevard in Kill Devil Hills will be closed Wednesday and Thursday for drainage and roadway improvements.
