Scallywags fall to River Bandits on the road, 3-2

The Outer Banks Scallywags fell to the River Bandits in a close loss, 3-2. The Scallywags lose their first road game of the season, and fall to an 0-2 record.

Alex Ulloa was a bright spot in the loss for the Outer Banks. Ulloa went 2-4 on the day with an RBI single and an RBI double, supplying the Scallywags with both of their two runs on the night. Aidan Feather and Noah Smeltzer were the two to score.

Paddy McGonigal was the Scallywags starting pitcher, throwing for four innings, giving up one earned run and striking out five. Evan Panjwani replaced McGonigal for the next four innings, also allowing one earned run and striking out seven.

The Scallywags will get their chance at revenge when the River Bandits visit the Outer Banks for the back end of a home and home. The next game is scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, June 5, and at home for the Scallywags at Coy Tillett Sr. Memorial Field at Manteo High School. The game will start at 7 p.m.
