Samuel Marion Baum, age 80, of Camden, NC died on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at his home.
Born in Beaufort County, NC on October 3, 1941 to the late Samuel L. Baum and Lillian Potter Baum, he was the husband of Rose McPherson Baum for fifty-nine years of marriage. He served his country honorably in the National Guard. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he had a love of the outdoors where he worked for most of his life. A farmer and heavy equipment operator, he took great pride and joy in his beautiful garden that he was willing to share with all.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lindsey Baum (Trish) and David Baum (Debbie); a brother, Thomas Baum (Mary Kathryn); three grandchildren, Katie Hilbert, Stephanie Baum, and Sam Baum; and one great-grandchild, Zoey Perez. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Parker Baum, and a brother, Robert W. Baum.
