Robin Dale Midgette, 64, of Frisco, NC died Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Vidant Medical Center.
Born in Norfolk, VA on August 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Marjorie Austin Midgette Banks and John Riggs Midgette and stepfather, Robert Banks of Norfolk, VA.
Robin was a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker. Most importantly he was a wonderful and dedicated husband and father. Everything he did he did for his family. Robin was a kind and patient man who carried on such strength and wisdom to his family. He was talented far beyond his years; his wife would say ‘a jack of all trades’ and he would say ‘a master of none’. His amazing stories and love for adventure will be missed deeply. Rest assured, his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He was indeed our Mighty Midgette. We will all miss him dearly.
Robin is survived by his wife, Frances “Jeanie” Midgette; two children, Jeana Sanchez (Jon) of Houston, TX and Robbin Midgette (Scott Clark) of Frisco, NC; a grandson, Gage Clark of New Jersey, and his faithful companions, Mikey and Miles. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by a sister, Jennifer Novak of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Steve Midgette (Laurie) of Chester Springs, PA and Gary Midgette (Catherine) of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, Jim Simmons of Frisco, NC; sister-in-law, Alice Dickens of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Hannah Posola of San Antonio, TX, Julie Midgette of Philadelphia, PA, Abigail Ingram (Dustin) of Phoenix, AZ, Tammy Fockler (Dave) of Tennessee and Patty Clark (Bill) of Tennessee; nephews, Jason Posola (Monica) of San Antonio, TX, Jonathan Midgette (Elizabeth) of Frederick, MD, Robert Midgette (Heather) of Asbury, NJ, Nathaniel Midgette of Phoenix, AZ; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Howard, Johnny, and Michael Midgette all of Norfolk, VA; two uncles, Monford Austin (Helen) of Hatteras, NC and Barney Austin (Jenny) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandparents, Joshua D. Austin, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Willis, Augustus Thompson Midgette, and Bettie Tolson Midgette all of Buxton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
