Robert Darrell Mauldin, 74, of Wanchese, NC died Saturday, March 5, 2022, in Greenville, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Tina; his canine companion, Dixie Louise; stepdaughter, Taylor Lay; and son, Christopher Mauldin (Aubrey) of Florida. Also, surviving is Wykie Wise (Ginger); brother, Levie Bunch; sister, Melodie Marshall (Mark); nieces, Sandi Roberts (Norman) and Laurie Wilson (Charles); nephew, David Martin, Jr. (Heather); and numerous great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Horace and Agnes Barnett; his mother, Elizabeth B. Midgett; and his beloved son, Robert Adam “Rambo” Mauldin.
Bob served in many capacities in law enforcement in Dare County, starting as an EMT, then as a Deputy, and finally an ABC officer until his retirement.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Twiford Colony Chapel officiated by Rev. Eugene McLawhorn. Burial will follow in Manteo Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives for a viewing and visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
