Registration now open for the 2024 Dare County State of the Child Conference

On March 14, members of the Dare County community are coming together for the sixth Dare County State of the Child Conference. This one-day event will give leaders and professionals the chance to discuss and explore opportunities and long-term solutions to our children’s areas of greatest need, including child care, early learning, well-being and enrichment/recreation.

The Dare County 2024 State of the Child Conference is presented by the Children & Youth Partnership for Dare County through a generous grant from the Outer Banks Community Foundation and thanks to presenting sponsors Outer Banks Health and Surf Pediatrics & Medicine.

Parents, business and community leaders, members of the public and those who work with children are invited to the conference presentations by two national speakers and to be a part of the discussions, which will be held at Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $20, and a buffet-style lunch is provided.

Advance registration is required. Note that spaces are filling quickly, and same-day registration will not be available. Registration is recommended as soon as possible.
