Raymond Lee Horton, age 59, of Dawsonville, VA, passed away on February 27, 2024, at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton, GA. A native of Richmond, VA, he was born on July 12, 1964.
Raymond dedicated his career to long-haul truck driving, accumulating over five million miles on the road. His commitment to this profession showcased his strong work ethic and passion for the open road.
He will be remembered as a devoted son and brother. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Julia Mae Rogers Horton and Robert Blacknell Horton, Sr. He is survived by his loving sister, Pam L. Forrest of Glen Allen, VA; brother Robert B. Horton III, his wife Brandy, and their daughter Kayla of Naylor, GA; and brother Daniel H. Horton, his wife Kristy, and their children Sydney and Daniel, Jr. of New Kent, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Raymond’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
