A Dare County man wanted for second-degree forcible rape was arrested Sunday morning by sheriff’s deputies from Dare and Currituck counties.
The Dare County Sheriff’s Office last week issued a wanted poster for Christian Gabriel Moore, 25, who was wanted in connection with a sexual assault in November, said sheriff’s Sgt. Douglas Oberbeck.
The Sheriff’s Office generally doesn’t release details on sexual assault cases to protect the victims, but Oberbeck said the incident wasn’t random.
Moore was arrested Sunday morning without incident and is being held at the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $250,000 bond.
