The Town of Kill Devil Hills may have periodic road closures Monday, June 13, 2022, from the intersection of East New Bern Street and Fifth Street to Virginia Dare Trail for Weeks Construction to move beach nourishment equipment and construction material to and from the staging area at the Fifth Street Beach Access.
This section of road may be closed several times throughout the day, as needed, to move the large equipment and other material. Any closures will conclude by the end of the day on June 13th. Please follow any detour instructions from flaggers.
In addition, as large trucks are backing into the Fifth Street Beach Access to unload material, traffic be temporarily stopped in this area of Virginia Dare Trail. The delay should last no more than several minutes at a time. There will be no closures along Virginia Dare Trail.
