Peggy Crites Pierce

Peggy was a hard worker who always thought of everyone else first. She started working at the age of 19 on a chicken farm. She later gained a passion for children during her many years as a school bus driver for Camden County Schools and as a daycare provider from her own home. She finished out her career as a cashier at Wal-Mart until she was able to retire with her husband.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pierce of 59 years; and her three siblings, Frances Gardner, Gene Crites (Susan), and Roger Crites (Debbie). She also leaves behind; four children, Kenneth Ray Pierce, Charlene Owens (Ryan), Martha Nash (Steven), and Ricky Pierce (Jennifer). Her love and strength will shine through her living grandchildren; Kenneth Pierce (Madrina), Cornelia Pierce, Courtney Devault (Jeremy), Rachel Riddick (Daniel), Ryan Pierce, Kirsten Pierce, Ricky Pierce Jr., Hunter Owens, Leland Pierce, Ayden Owens, Spencer Pierce, Gid Nash, Lillie Pierce, and her five great-grandchildren; Brinley, Jayden, Kayla, Yennefer, and Sienna along with her two great fur-babies Milo and Callie.

Peggy was a passionate soul who found endless joy in growing and nurturing all types of plants. Her green thumb was matched only by her tender care for the many birds who were visitors to her flower gardens, bird feeders, and even her breakfast room window. She would spend countless hours sitting and taking pure delight in the beauty of nature’s creatures. She leaves behind a legacy of vibrant blooms and fluttering wings, a testament to her unwavering love for the natural world. May her memory continue to bloom and fly high in the hearts of those who were touched by her loving presence.
