An overturned truck near Manns Harbor tied up traffic for several hours Friday at the U.S. 64/U.S. 264 intersection on the Dare County late in the afternoon.
Traffic on both highways was moving slowly, or stopped altogether at times, as crews worked to remove the vehicle involved and what appeared to be a load of garbage that was dumped on the road.
Other details about the crash were not yet available from the N.C. Highway Patrol.
