Airbnb says Kitty Hawk is one of the top 10 places in the nation Americans are searching for spring and summer vacation reservations.
Warm locales, small beach towns and access to state and national parks are fueling spring and summer wanderlust, Airbnb said, with Kitty Hawk coming in number eight.
The list is based on growth in searches for trips March-August 2021 versus searches for trips in January-February 2021.
Other top locales on the list include Whitefish, Montana; Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; Mammoth Cave, Kentucky; Orderville, Utah; Cape San Blas, Florida; Lake Powell, Arizona; Round Top, Texas; Cape May, New Jersey and coming in at number one – Southern Maine.
