Due to COVID-19, the American Red Cross is critically low on blood supplies. Now is the time to give the gift of life this holiday season.
For the third year in a row, The Outer Banks Association of REALTORS® (OBAR) is partnering with the Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church (HRCC) for our holiday blood drive.
Join OBAR, HRCC, and the Red Cross on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 10:00A-4:00P, or Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 12:00-6:00P at HRCC (301 W Kitty Hawk Rd, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949).
They will be collecting Power Red and Whole Blood both days, but not Platelet, Plasma, or Convalescent Plasma.
The Red Cross will be practicing proper precautions to keep donors safe. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the only food provided will be during emergency situations. They recommend making an appointment to reduce wait times.
Visit redcross.org, click on “Give Blood” at the top of the screen, and then select “Find a Blood Drive”, and enter “HRCC” as the “Sponsor Code”.
OBAR’s blood drive has received the “Crystal Blood Drop Award” for two years in a row for raising the most units of blood during a drive. Their goal is to get 200 units of blood.
