Robert Edward Epperly, age 78, of 121 Pine Ridge Drive, South Mills, NC passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at his home. He was born in Burlington, NC on November 1, 1941 to the late Clarence Edward Epperly and Mildred Louise White Epperly and was the husband of Charlotte Ann Parsons Epperly of the home. He was a shipbuilding project manager and Past Master of the Yorktown Masonic Lodge. He was a bluegrass music fan and played it all his life.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Valerie Epperly (Patrick) of Gloucester, VA, and Lori A. Hogge of Gloucester, VA; a son, John M. Murray, Jr. (Jessica) of Oviedo, FL; a sister, Barbara Davis (Chuck) of Denham Springs, LA; a brother, Danny Epperly (Brenda) of Yorktown, VA; and four grandchildren, Mason Howard, Kobe Murray, Samantha Murray, and Lucas Murray; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Brian Epperly.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 at South Mills Church of Christ, 100 Culpepper Rd., South Mills, NC.
