Powells Point – Mitchell Waterfield died peacefully July 13, 2020 at home in Powells Point, NC after a long battle with cancer. Mitch was born September 19, 1967 to Mary and the late Kenny Waterfield.
Mitch worked in commercial fishing, landscaping, construction, and salvage. He loved dogs and enjoyed building boats and sailing. Mitch is survived by his mother, Mary; brother, Ken; his sisters, Kim, Mary Kay, and Karen; and nieces and nephew, Haley, Sarah, and William.
A graveside service will be held 4pm, Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Powells Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ronnie Wyatt will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mitch’s name may be made to Powells Point Baptist Church or Albemarle Home Health and Hospice.
