Kitty Hawk- Lynne M. Serfling passed away in Elizabeth City, NC March 26, 2020. Lynne was born in Camden, NJ on May 10, 1947. She attended school at St. Cecilia’s in Pennsauken through the eighth grade, when she withdrew due to vision problems.
Over the next 30 years, Lynne gradually lost all of her vision. The family moved to Ocean City, NJ in 1972 and purchased a guest house called “Villa by the Sea”, which Lynne helped her mother run for two seasons. Lynne loved the Ocean City Boardwalk, particularly Johnson’s Popcorn, Shriver’s Salt Water Taffy, and Prep’s Pizza. She lived there until 2009 when her mother died and she was forced to move into assisted living. Lynne particularly loved spending time with her niece and nephews as well as their cats and dogs. Her favorite foods were pizza, candy, and Tastykakes.
Lynne is survived by her brother, Justin Serfling and his wife Lisa, of Kitty Hawk, and their sons Jeremy and Zachary. She is also survived by her sister, Christina Moretti of Naples, FL, and her husband Al, and their children Lauren and Alan.
