Louis M. Knoerzer, age 92, of Wanchese, NC passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Born in Middletown, NY, he was the son of the late Josephine Weingart Knoerzer and John L. Knoerzer.
Louis served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores Knoerzer; a daughter, Debra DeFelice; a son Michael Knoerzer; and several grandchildren, Daniel Sullivan of Kitty Hawk, Laura Knoerzer, Sean, Mark, and Kevin Knoerzer, and Brain and Kristen Knoerzer all of New York.
Also known as Uncle Lou by his buddies, Mr. Knoerzer loved to go fishing and boating with his family and friends. He retired to the Outer Banks in 1985 moving from New York.
