Shiloh – Joyce Lynn Rich, 60, passed away of natural causes May 27, 2020 in Norfolk, VA. She was born in Covina, California August 10, 1959.
Eventually Joyce discovered the Outer Banks and became a local. She was employed with Southern Shores Realty as the housekeeping manager for eight years. Joyce was one of the most kind and loving women you could meet. She had a particular passion for animals- especially horses. After work was done, Joyce enjoyed hours of horseback riding and walking the beach collecting shells with her precious poodle, Trixie. She also stayed busy with various arts and crafts projects.
Joyce Rich is survived by her parents, Jerry and Peggy Avon of California, her daughter, Delana Rich of Missouri; four siblings, Jack, Jerry Lee, Lori and Jolene; ten grandchildren, Draven, Serenity, Aiden, Jansen, Laila, Jayla, Amayah, Cara, Samuel, and Geneva; her soulmate and love of her life- Edward L. Moore and her “poodle-princess”, Trixie both of the Shiloh residence. Joyce was also loved and adored by Eddie’s children as well- Crystal Moore, Marie Moore and Toby Moore and a host of extended family members, friends, and her Southern Shores family.
Joyce Rich’s funeral will be held at 6 pm, Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Gallop Memorial Chapel in Barco, NC. Friends and family may view two hours prior from 4pm to 6pm. Due to heath concerns, face masks will be required. The family will honor Joyce’s directives for cremation following her funeral.
