Jennifer Gail Sumner Matthews, 44, of Manteo, NC died Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
Born in High Point, NC on January 5, 1976, she was the daughter of Lonnie Robert Sumner of Barnesville, GA and the late Linda Gale Garrett Sumner.
Jennifer loved life and loved people more. She lit up every room she entered. She was considerate and kind, never met a stranger and was so vivacious. She made everything, even the everyday stuff, fun. We will miss your sweet spirit, bright light, and beautiful smile for the rest of our days.
In addition to her father, Jennifer is survived by a son, Daniel Matthews of Manteo, NC; granddaughter, Emily Matthews of Supply, NC; and two sisters, Fancy Behme (Kirk) of Goodlettsville, TN and Vanessa Brantley (Richard) of Manteo, NC.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at the Old Swimming Hole in Manteo, NC.
