Beverley Jane (Omohundo) Harding, 90, went home to join her Heavenly Father on June 1, 2020.
She was born February 23, 1930 in NW Washington DC, the daughter of the late Charles S. and Helen Omohundro. After raising her family and working for Montgomery Country Public Schools, MD, Beverley moved full-time to her paradise, Hatteras Island, NC, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was a treasure, and captured the joy in every moment; a sports enthusiast, playing for the 1960s ladies softball league, “The U.S. State Department Blue Diamonds,” and avid angler with the “Rod Runners.” She loved her life, was a prideful community member of Hatteras Island, and most of all, cherished her family.
She is survived by her lifelong best friend, Jo Hayes of Frisco, NC. Devoted and beloved mother of Bill Harding (Nancy Eppley), of Middletown, MD, Kimberly J. Wines (husband Ed) of Boonsboro, MD, Susan H. Routzahn (husband William) of Middletown, MD; adored grandmother of Kim Runfola, Katie Routzahn, Lauren Ausherman, Matthew Routzahn and Michael Routzahn; great-grandmother of Dominic Runfola, Elena Runfola, Jack Routzahn, Avery Routzahn, Paige Routzahn, Cayden Ausherman and Noah Ausherman. She is also survived by her sister Carol A. Heath of Warrenton VA, Goddaughter Pamela Massie of Toano, VA, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her siblings; Shirley O. Cooley and Charles S. Omohundro, Jr.
