Avon – Arlene Janet Donahue Williams, 93, died Saturday, February 8, 2020, peacefully at home with family at her side.
Arlene was the daughter of Errold and Hilda Donahue of Bethel, ME. She was born December 22, 1926 in Albany, ME. She graduated from Gould Academy and was the mother of eight children and homemaker. She also had several accomplished careers; as a custom seamstress for Singer Sewing Company and, in the hospitality, and real estate industries.
She is survived by hew husband, Cecil S. Williams of Avon; two sons, Robert Herzing of Kill Devil Hills and Michael Herzing of Alabama; one daughter, Katherine Herzing of Kill Devil Hills; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three daughters, Patricia Bartholomew, Sandra Ethridge and Janet Scarborough; and two sons, Joseph Herzing and Terry Herzing.
