Ann Rachelle Horton and Sebastian Antonio Lopez, ‘Ravann and Sebi’

Ravann and Sebi

Sharing some love about Ravann Rachelle Horton & Sebastian (Sebi) Antonio Lopez.

The sun rose on September 6, 1980 and blessed her mom with Miss Ravann Rachelle Horton in Vancouver, Washington. In turn, Ravann was gifted when the sun rose on November 6, 2010, with Sebastian (Sebi) Antonio Lopez, in Nags Head, North Carolina.

On May 17, 2020 they enjoyed their last sunset together over the beautiful sand and waves of the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Ravann was a kind, caring and beautiful person, with a heart that was larger than life. She was always up for the cause, doing fundraisers and helping those in need in this beautiful community of the OBX.

Her skills allowed her to be an Organizing Queen. She would always say, “Give me a clipboard, put me in charge, and I can get anything done.” She was the founder of Ravra Productions, her most proud accomplishment besides her Sebastian of course. Her passion for music brought such exciting music to this island. Her love for her son, life, and this place she called home was her heart.

Sebastian was a perfect mix of all that is good. He was caring, kind and respected Mother Earth. He had great teachers in his life, his beautiful mother, his amazing father and stepmother, and his grandma’s. Sometimes it takes a village, and in Sebastian’s case he got the best of all worlds. Anyone who knew him, knew his love for life and his family. He loved music and enjoyed being his mom’s right-hand man.

He had the best sense of humor and kept us all laughing, His love for his sister Victoria was undeniable. On any day off you could find them on the water enjoying their days together, soaking up the sun, paddleboarding or eating amazing food. There was nothing they would not at least try.

Sebastian could not have had a more perfect life. He has the best parents anyone could have wished for, who taught him all the right things in life. It was rare you ever saw one without the other. They were inseparable. It was only fitting then, that The Higher Power decided they leave this earth together.

They will be severely missed by Ravann’s moms and Sebi’s grandmoms, Kelley Grider Horton and Nina Lipscomb of Kill Devil Hills; his father, Victor Lopez; stepmom Hanna Molina, and sister, Victoria Lopez Molina of Nags Head; one brother and uncle, Luke Horton; two aunts, Beckie Grider Lundblad and Shannon Grider Porch. Also surviving are many family members, friends and this beautiful OBX community. Ravann’s person was Sebi, Sebi’s person was Ravann and they were both ours forever and always.

The family and close friends will attend a private memorial service on the beach. Everyone will be welcome to attend a music festival honoring Ravann and Sebi at a future date and time which will be announced.

Memorial donations in Ravann’s honor are welcome at the Dare County Arts Council and/or to the Mustang Music Outreach Program. Donations in Sebi’s honor are welcome at the Dare County SPCA and/or to Feline Hope of Kitty Hawk. Please express condolences to the family via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services. Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
