Nominations are now open for this year’s contest. Review our list of dozens of categories and nominate your favorites! And if your favorites aren’t listed, write them in.
The nomination round is open through Oct. 19 at midnight, with the top five businesses in each category winning a place on the ballot. Voting begins Oct. 19 at 12:01 a.m. and runs through Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
Last year, we were overwhelmed by your support for your Outer Banks’ favorites, with 19,000 nominations and more than 80,000 individual votes cast. These people, places, businesses, organizations and events are what make the Outer Banks so special.
Nomination and voting guidelines: You must register with your email address in order to nominate or vote. Nominate or vote in as many or as few categories and sub-categories as you like. Maximum of one vote per person per sub-category per day. To submit a nomination, simply write it in in the appropriate category (spelling counts!). Nominations will be reviewed for accuracy and to ensure they are located on the Outer Banks before being added to the ballot; this process can take up to one business day.
