No one hurt after early morning fire at business in Kill Devil Hills

No one was injured after a fire early Wednesday morning at a business on the bypass in Kill Devil Hills.

Crews were called to the 2000 block of South Croatan Highway at 3:43 a.m. following a fire alarm activation, according to Kill Devil Hills Fire Marshal John Risoldi.

Firefighters saw smoke in the building, located the fire and contained it to the front counter of the store.

Fire crews from Colington and Nags Head Fire Departments, along with the Kill Devil Hills Police Department and Dare County EMS were also on scene and assisted in the operation.

Risoldi said what caused the fire is under investigation.
