Enjoy the sounds of the season at the Mustang Music Outreach Program’s Rockin’ Christmas Concert, which will be held on Saturday, December 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the indoor theatre at Roanoke Island Festival Park.
The Rockin’ Christmas Concert will showcase holiday themed musical performances by student and adult members from the Mustang Music Outreach Program. There will be a ukulele Christmas choir, Mustang Music Outreach Program graduate Alexandra Byers will be playing the baby grand piano and duet Bill Rea and Doug Dino, known as the Other Brothers, will be playing their favorite holiday tunes. Mustang Music Outreach Program Allstars Ruth Wyand, Debo Cox, Jonathon Davis, Amanda Williams, Betsy Robinson, Dee Thornley, MaryAnn Toboz and Shelli Gates will also be performing.
“If you are looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit and support a great group of talented kids and adults, come to our concert,” said Mustang Music Outreach Program Assistant Director Amanda Williams.
Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. with a musical instrument and equipment sale held in the lobby prior to the show. Santa will be making a special appearance at the event and refreshments will also be available.
Admission to the event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted. All donations will go toward the Mustang Music Outreach Program.
“We invite the community to come out and celebrate the season with us,” said Mustang Music Outreach Program President Shelli Gates. “Dress up in your best Christmas finery, sing along with us and enjoy an evening of fantastic music.”
The family-friendly concert is open to everyone, and seating is first come, first served.
