Cape Hatteras National Seashore experienced the second-highest level of June visitors in its 53 year history last month.

Total visitation, 399,364, is an increase of almost 4 percent over last June, and is just shy of the all-time June record of 410,366 set in 2002.

National Parks of Eastern North Carolina Superintendent David Hallac was a guest Thursday on “OBX Today” with Sam Walker on The All New News Talk 92.3 WZPR to talk more about all three of the Outer Banks national parks.
