The Mid-Currituck Bridge Litigation is on appeal to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond.
In June of this year, the Town filed an Amicus Brief with the Fourth Circuit. At their October 4, 2022 regular meeting, the Town Attorney shared with Town Council an update on this appeal, specifically that oral arguments are scheduled to be heard before the Court in Richmond the week of December 6th through the 9th.
Once attorney conflicts are shared with the Court, the Clerk will schedule the hearing for a specific date and time for that week, and the Town Attorney will advise of that date and time once finalized.
After oral arguments, the Court will issue its written decision, which could take several months to be finalized and released.
