Michael Daniel Moniz, Sr., age 73, of Hertford, NC died on Monday, March 6, 2023 at his home.
Born in Oakland, CA on July 11, 1949 to the late John Gabriel Moniz and Gloria Larson, he was the husband of Debra Lynn Jones Moniz. A Welder by trade, he worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a contractor. Very outgoing, he was very computer proficient and worked for eBay. He loved his dogs and spoiled them rotten.
In addition to his wife, Debra, he is survived by a daughter, Krystl Moniz of VA; two sons, Michael Moniz, Jr. of NC and John Moniz of VA; two brothers, Gregory Moniz and Keith Moniz; a stepsister, Lisa Manus; and six grandchildren, Trinity Jordan, Nicholas Moniz, Mikey Mintz, Amaya Moniz, Brandon Moniz, and Gabriel Moniz.
No service is planned at this time.
