Visitors to Cape Hatteras National Seashore, regardless of vaccination status, are now required to wear a mask inside all park buildings.

The guidance follows the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Level of Community Transmission map, which places Dare County in the red, meaning there is a high level of community spread of COVID-19.

The requirement includes all indoor facilities on Cape Hatteras National Seashore, including Ocracoke Island, as well as the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills and the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site on Roanoke Island.
