Martha Jane Phillips McKeon, 93, of Duck, NC passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 25, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Corning Parsons and Marion Chapman Phillips.
Martha worked as a bank branch manager and was a long standing member of the League of Women Voters concentrating on education and environmental issues.
She is survived by three daughters, Laura McKeon Saul (Robert) of Castle Hayne, NC, Jane McKeon Spriggle (Alan) of Landisburg, PA, and Claudia McKeon Meadows of Duck, NC; one granddaughter, Katherine Kelly and a great-grandson arriving November 2021. Also, surviving are her three siblings, Suzanne Wade (James) of North Augusta, SC, Carolyn Kelly of Mystic, CT, and Robert Phillips (Janice) of Mission Viejo, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Dyer McKeon; and her son-in-law, Ronald Meadows.
A private family gathering will be held.
