On August 19, 2023, at approximately 6:47 pm, Deputies working the B-District conducted a traffic stop on US Hwy 64/264 near Candela Drive on Roanoke Island, NC.
The stop was in reference to an investigation into a Breaking and Entering of a Residence. During that stop probable cause was established to search the vehicle. During the search an amount of Methamphetamine, Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia were located and seized.
Jaime Carpio Jr, 42, of Manteo, NC, was arrested and charged with (F) PWIMSD Methamphetamine, (F) S/D Schedule II Controlled Substance, (M) Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and (M) Driving While License Revoked Impaired Revocation and given a $3,000 secured bond.
