The license plate agency in Manteo will be closed the rest of the week, according to a note on the window gate at the office inside Island Pharmacy that said they will reopen on Monday, November 15.
License plate agencies are independent contractors for the NCDMV, and offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations.
Services such as property tax payments and registration renewals can be completed online at www.MyNCDMV.gov.
Those needing in-person services will have to travel to agencies located in Columbia, Engelhard, Elizabeth City or Moyock.
