Larry W. Gibbs passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021, in Moyock, NC after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was 88.
Larry was born in Lake Landing, NC and was an Air Force veteran and a long-time business owner in Portsmouth, VA. He was an avid sportsman and found a friend wherever he went.
He leaves behind his son, R. Wade Gibbs (Laura) of Chesapeake, VA, his sister, Marva Cates of Portsmouth, VA, grandchildren Andrew Gibbs, Alexandra Hodges (Macon) and Catherine Gibbs along with numerous nieces and nephews.
