Kill Devil Hills water tower replacement project underway

The current tower is a half-century old. [Baldwin Video Productions]

Benny Baldwin with Baldwin Video Productions captured this image while flying his drone over Meekins Field behind Kill Devil Hills Fire Station 14, located along U.S. 158.

Baldwin is working with the town on a future Current TV video documenting the construction of the town’s new 400,000 gallon elevated water tank.

L.G. Barcus and Sons from Kansas City recently completed the last of 18 auger cast in place pilings recently. The pilings go over 70 feet down and will form the foundation for the new tank.
