On June 9, 2023, at approximately 11:40 pm, Deputies working the A-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 1100 block of Colington Rd, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.
During the traffic stop a DCSO K-9 alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle was conducted and an amount of Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Marijuana Paraphernalia and brass knuckles were located and seized.
Rodal Eric Dowdy, 44, of Kill Devil Hills, was arrested and charged with (F) Possession of Methamphetamine, (F) Possession of Crack Cocaine, (M) Possession of Marijuana, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, (M) Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia and (M) Possession of a Concealed Weapon.
Dowdy was given a $10,000 secured bond.
