If you live in Kill Devil Hills, annual dog licenses which are renewable in January, are required for each canine over four months old that you own.
The cost is $5.00 per dog if not spayed/neutered, or $2.50 for dogs that have been fixed for the town license. Dare County also requires all dogs to be licensed as well through a separate process.
Two options are available to acquire your dog license:
IN PERSON: Visit the cashier’s window on the second floor of Town Hall with the following:
• Completed Annual Dog License Registration form
• Proof of rabies vaccination
• Proof of spaying/neutering
• Cash, credit card, check or money order for applicable fee
BY MAIL: Mail the following to Town of Kill Devil Hills, PO Box 1719, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948:
• Completed Annual Dog License Registration form
• Proof of rabies vaccination
• Proof of spaying/neutering
• Check or money order for applicable fee
• Self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) so tag can be mailed to you.
