John Sharpe Jenkins, 93, of Duck, NC peacefully passed away Friday, July 24, 2020, under the care of his son, wonderful CNAs, and hospice workers.
He passed at his home in Duck, NC, where he wanted to be, watching Western and classic movies, Dr. Pol Vet show, and listening to gospel and classic music.
He is survived by his son John B. Jenkins who currently resides on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and three nieces Felice and Sherry of the Winston Salem, North Carolina area and Sandra of Northern Virginia.
John passed away early morning as the Sun rose over the Atlantic Ocean. Pictured is one of many sunsets he was able to witness on the deck of his home in Duck for 38 plus years. He retired from a major airline carrier then had a second career as a real estate broker for several different companies on the Outer Banks. He was a kind and gentle man who lived a full life of 93 years. He will be missed but he is in a better place.
