James Actwood McClease, Sr., age 66, of Jones Circle, Manteo, North Carolina departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital Virginia Beach, VA.
He was born April 1, 1954 to the late Nancy “Sido” Elizabeth McClease and Leroy Bowser.
James is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 43 years Betty Carol McClease, daughter Jamie Carol McClease Whitley (Lorenzo “LJ”), son James Actwood McClease Jr., and his pride and joy, most precious granddaughter Liliana Amina Whitley; brothers Leroy McClease, Michael and Henry Thrash and sister Olivia “Sissy” Mclemore.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Manteo First Assembly, Manteo, NC. Burial will be at Free Grace Church of Christ Disciples of Christ Cemetery, Manteo, NC following the service.
