Irene Jones Douglass, age 94, of Coinjock, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 20, 2022. She was born on September 18, 1927 to the late Tullie and Sudie Beacham Jones. A member of Coinjock Baptist Church, she loved working with the Women’s Missionary Union. She read her scripture every day. Her passion was flowers. She enjoyed everything about growing flowers and watching them bloom. She loved God’s creation in all living things. Her family was a blessing to her as she was to them. She enjoyed being with her family for holidays and picnics. Irene was a true gift to so many. She brought so much love and joy to everyone she met. Just loved those hugs.
Irene is survived by a son, John Douglass of Aydlett, NC; a grandson, Jeff Douglass of Aydlett; a sister, Lib Donski; a niece, Sylvia Kirk (Bob) of Aydlett; a nephew, Marion (AB) Donski; and many great-nephews and great-nieces. Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Douglass; a brother, Leslie Jones; and a brother, Wayne Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Hampton Cemetery, Waterlily, NC with Pastor Ethan Drum officiating.
