Downtown Books in Manteo and Buxton Village Books are teaming up to provide their online shopping platform to host a virtual book fair to benefit all Dare County Schools libraries. The event runs through this Saturday, Oct. 10.
Both store owners, and librarians from every grade level, curated book lists to help recommend good reads, just like they would in person. Additionally, several teachers, librarians, and even a school nurse provided short “book talks” on our website to promote their top suggestions. But it’s not just for Dare County students. Anyone, anywhereE can shop the website. With a purchase at bookshop.org/shop/downtownbooks or bookshop.com/shop/buxtonvillagebooks through Oct. 10, you will provide funding support to a virtual library that contains eBooks and audiobooks for all Dare County Schools readers.
