Grandy – Gloria H. Cohoon, 80, of Grandy passed away of natural causes July 18, 2020 in Elizabeth City, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Minnie Hill, her husband, Irving Cohoon, Sr., and her brother, Roger Hill.
Gloria was born in Portsmouth, VA but spent her childhood in Currituck County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Gloria enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving family members include her son, Irving Cohoon, Jr. of Grandy, NC; her daughter, Angela Cohoon (Daryl Kight) also of Grandy; one granddaughter, Alexandra Bogart (Nicholas) of Charleston, SC; one great-grandson Timothy Bogart; her sister Glenda Owens of Grandy; her brother, James Hill of Fairfield, CA and her beloved dog, Casey.
The family will honor Gloria’s wishes to be cremated and plans for a private memorial service are pending at this time. In lieu of flowers, please remember Gloria with a donation to a worthy diabetes charity of your choice.
