You’re invited to “get taco silly in honor of Lilly” at Ortega’z Southwestern Grill & Wine Bar in Downtown Manteo on Sunday, May 1st for the Annual OBX Taco Cook-Off fundraiser event from noon to 3 p.m, where local Outer Banks restaurants will be competing for the beach’s best taco!
Restaurants participating in the event include Ortega’z, Woo Casa, Noosa, Mahi Mahi, Lucky 12, Jack Browns, Aqua, and Lost Colony to name a few.
Two awards will be distributed for the winning tacos: Peoples’ Choice and Judges Choice. Your paid admission to this event allows you to try a taco from each competing restaurant so you can cast your vote for the winner. Adult tickets are $25 and kids under age 10 are free.
In addition to mouth-watering tacos and adult beverages, including beer and wine, games and face painting will also be there for the kids to enjoy. Not to mention live music from local performers!
All proceeds raised during the event will be used to send children to summer camp at Jennette’s Pier.
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event and beer/wine tickets will be sold separately.
