Gary Raven Cooper, age 65, of Elizabeth City, NC died on Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home.
Born on February 29, 1956 in Pasquotank County, NC to the late Dan Cooper and Claudie Smith Cooper, he was the widower of Sandra Elisabeth Weaver Cooper.
An automotive mechanic by trade, he was a very hardworking man who greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Gary was a very giving man and was helpful to all.
He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Brower (Frank) of Elizabeth City, NC; his sons, Rick Gray (Ingrid) of Cambridgeshire, UK and Jimmy Gray (Stephanie) of Chesapeake, VA; a brother, Danny Cooper of Jacksonville, AL; twelve grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary Raven Cooper, Jr. and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Mike Hawkins officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the SPCA of Northeastern NC, 102 Enterprise Dr., Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E.
