First Flight High School offering seniors application help during free N.C. college application weeks

October 19-30 are Free College Application Weeks as many North Carolina universities and colleges are waiving application fees for students applying to college this fall.

On October 21, 22, and 23, the First Flight High School Guidance Office will be offering three days of in-person and virtual support to all seniors and families preparing to apply to college this fall.

Support will be available each day roughly between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments are preferred, but not required, so feel free to walk-in at any time.

In-person support will be offered outside, near the front door, and a link will be sent out to join virtually.

In case of bad weather, the event will be moved indoors and temperature checks will be required. Masks are required both indoors and outdoors.

A student that arrives with all the correct documentation will be able to submit a college application, and we will be offering FAFSA support to families, so parents are welcome to sign up as well.

Support offered includes:

  • FAFSA & RDS
  • Essay Writing & Resumes
  • CommonApp and CFNC
  • Anything else you need help with!
