Today is the last day to purchase your tickets for a chance to win the very first pot made with Blossom’s hair, by Middleton Clay Project! Blossom, a 30+ year old mare, was rescued in October after sustaining a major tear to a ligament in her leg. She now lives at our farm and is doing very well.
One of Blossom’s most distinguishing characteristics when she was wild was a large knot in her mane. Once at the farm, we spent over an hour carefully removing the knot by hand, and once finished we gave the hair to Mike to make pottery with. Each pot is unique, but this one is very special since it was the first one made with Blossom’s hair.
