Ernest Randolph Smoot III (Randy), 60, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at his home in Manteo, NC. He was born in Roanoke, VA in 1962, and grew up in Virginia Beach, VA.
Randy was a very loving and caring man and made friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed music, fishing, boating, beaches, and the Outer Banks lifestyle.
Randy is survived by his mother, Betty Blasczak of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister, Christy Faris and husband David of Chesapeake, VA, and a nephew, Robert Lowe of Virginia Beach, VA that he loved dearly. He is also survived by his companion of several years, Sue Butterfield of Manteo, NC; his fiercely loyal dog, Rocky; and many friends.
