Erica Lee Craft, age 37, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on May 10, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1986 in Elizabeth City, NC to Eric Lafe Craft and Melinda Hewitt Craft.
Erica was a dedicated Patient Care Assistant at The Landings of Albemarle in Hertford, NC. She enjoyed hosting birthday parties and events for her residents, as well as, caring for their needs.
In her free time, Erica enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for the beach and found enjoyment in gardening. Her passion for baking brought joy to those around her, and she loved her nieces and nephews. Erica’s shopping trips and sipping ginger ale with her beloved Granny, Elizabeth A. Craft, were some of her favorite pastimes.
Left to cherish her memory are her parents and grandmother; her daughter, Jordyn Lee Hixson; her brother, Kyle Hunter Craft (Camille); and her nieces and nephews, River and Lakelyn Craft, Makayla, Mia, and Shiloh Basnight, Tristen and Sampson Hurdle, and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Erica’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Freedom Baptist Ministries, located at 2290 Peartree Road, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, with Pastor Chad Thomas officiating.
Erica will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her loving spirit and kind heart will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
