Doris Elaine Weightman Hogg Crum, 99, of Manteo, NC died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her home.
Born in Elrama, PA on August 25, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Josephine Kessler Weightman and Stephen E. Weightman.
Doris was the manager of G.C. Murphy Co. retail store. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as the Order of the Amaranth.
A gentle lovely lady, Doris loved her family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice E. Schroeder of Manteo, NC; stepson, Wil Crum (Michele) of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren, Bill Schroeder (Carolann) of South Plainfield, NJ, Kim Schoner of Colonia, NJ, Chris Schroeder (Tracey) of Spring, TX, Stephen Anderson of California, James Xanthoudakis of Greece, and Matthew Crum of Baltimore, MD; six great-grandchildren, Krista, Heather, Kyle, Michael, C.J., and Jessica; and six great-great-grandchildren, Adalee, Caden, Logan, Addison, Tyler, and Paisley.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her first husband, James L. Hogg; second husband, Linton R. Crum; daughter, Carol Ann; two brothers, eleven brothers-in-law; thirteen sisters-in-law, three sons-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dare County Health and Human Services, Dare Hospice, and Dare County EMS.
